  1. Documents to be certified by a Justice of the Peace (JP).
    • Academic Achievements - Degrees, Diploma, CSEC/CXC, GCE, SSC, certificates
    • Birth Certificate 
    • Marriage Certificate (where applicable) 
    • One passport size photograph (taken within the last 6 months)
  2. The VTDI's Referees Report to completed by one of the following
    • A Minister of religion
    • Justice of the Peace
    • The Principal of the last school attended
    • Your current or former employer 
  3. For the Post Graduate Diploma applicants, transcript must be forwarded to the Institutions from the institution/s previously attended in order for the application process to be completed.

The Draughting and Building Technology Programme is a Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) programme which seeks to train practising and aspiring draughtsmen and site supervisors for the built environment in Jamaica and the Caribbean at large. Students will have the option of pursuing three distinct areas of specialization, namely, Networking, Mobile and Digital Media Development (gaming), and Software Engineering. Students have the opportunity to major in one or two of these areas of specialization during their course of study.
Students who successfully complete the VTDI's Associate Degree in Information and Communication Technology are eligible for transfer to the Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communiation Technology.

From a philosophical perspective, the Train the Trainer course is grounded in the belief that those who facilitate training interventions, regardless of content specification, must effectively perform many tasks to ensure success. Indeed, some of the tasks to be performed are contextually specific and, therefore, will be unique to the content area. On the other hand, some tasks are specific to the teaching-learning process and must be effectively and systematically carried out to ensure attainment of desired learning outcomes. Such tasks, it is widely accepted, are better performed when informed by a grounded understanding of theoretical and best-practice strategies for planning and delivering training sessions.
